By car you can take the fastest route or a more
scenic route. You can also get here by public transport.
By Public Transport
It is possible to reach Pier House by public transport with trains to Inverness
leaving from both Glasgow and Edinburgh on a regular basis. Once in Inverness
you must change to the Inverness - Kyle of Lochalsh line.
The nearest station is Strathcarron and from there you can catch Post Bus Number 131
or the local bus service operated by Duncan MacLennan (01520 755239).
Both services will drop you off at the Kishorn Shop and from there it is a five-minute walk to Pier House.
The bus and train services west of Inverness are limited so it is advisable to
confirm timings prior to departure.
The trains will also take (by prior arrangement) pedal cycles and it is a ten mile cycle
from Strathcarron to Pier House (beware - it's not a flat road!).
